ING Wholesale Banking – 15 Years on the Czech Market

Prague, December 19th 2007 – The Christmas Coctail held in Malá dvorana of Veletržní Palace in Prague on Monday 17th December preceded a charitable Fashion Show of the Tereza Maxová Foundation and was organised by ING Wholesale Banking. The guests, gathered around a formula 1 model from the ING Renault F1 team, celebrated the upcoming Christmas time as well as the anniversary of the ING Bank operation in the Czech Republic.

ING Bank N.V. obtained its banking licence for the Czech market exactly fifteen years ago on the 17th December 1992,’ informed Rolf-Jan Zweep, CEO ING Bank CR and General Manager Wholesale Banking. ‘We were one of the first leading international banks it entered the Czech market and the first from the ING Group and we are really pleased to have managed building a really strong position in the corporate banking area since then.’

Tereza Maxová and Terezie Sverdlinová from the Tereza Maxová Foundation also joined in the short congratulation and presented a cake adorned by 15 candles to Rolf-Jan Zweep. Together, they introduced the long-term mutual cooperation between the ING Wholesale Banking Fund and the Tereza Maxová Foundation to the present guests.

ING Wholesale Banking was also the main partner of a charitable fashion show called TOGETHER FOR CHANGE – Fashion for Kids, which was held on the same evening in Velká dvorana of Veletržní Palace and topped up the celebration of the 10 years of existence of the Tereza Maxová Foundation. Such charitable fashion show was held in Prague already for the third time and as before famous models, such as Karen Mulder, Helena Houdová, Miss Worlds 2006 Tatjana Kuchařová, Jessica Sjöö, Pavlína Němcová, Andrea Veršová and, indeed, the patroness of the Foundation - Tereza Maxová, joined in and presented models by the fashion designer Elie Saab.

Among the important guests were the wife of the Formule 1 driver Miky Häkkinen Erja Häkkinen, DTM cars driver Martin Tomczyk and Sir Michael Smurfit, who was the very first donor of the Tereza Maxová Foundation.
