Rolf-Jan Zweep Becomes New Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Netherlands-Czech Chamber of Commerce
The new elected Chairman of the Nederlands-Czech Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is Rolf-Jan Zweep, CEO ING Bank ČR and General Manager Wholesale Banking. He replaces Dirk Kroonen, COO/CFO Ernst & Young for Central and South-East Europe, who left the position due too many commitments.
Rolf-Jan Zweep was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Netherlands-Czech Chamber of Commerce in December 2008 after he became member of this Board a year before. As Chairman, he plans to focus on three priorities – Corporate Social Responsibility, assisting Dutch companies doing business in or otherwise related to the Czech Republic and collaborating more closely with other chambers.
Rolf-Jan Zweep remains CEO ING Bank ČR and General Manager of Wholesale Banking; he has been in those positions since 2004. Zweep joined ING in 1992. He went through several positions in the management both in retail and wholesale banking of ING Bank in the Netherlands.
Rolf-Jan Zweep has a degree in Economics and Business Administration from Groningen University in the Netherlands, and from INSEAD Fontainebleau in France.
In his spare time he likes to practise sports. From the age of 16 to 20 he was playing football professionally for PSV Eindhoven. Now he likes to ski and golf. Golf takes him all over the Czech Republic.
