St. Nicolas gave presents to the children from children’s homes
Prague, December 3, 2007 – Almost a hundred of children from children’s homes together with children of ING Wholesale Banking employees enjoyed St. Nicolas‘ presents and playful afternoon in the Village Cinema at „Anděl“ on Saturday, December 1. The event was organized by more than thirty volunteers from the ING Wholesale Banking and Tereza Maxová Foundation.
„We wanted to bring a festive atmosphere to the children from children’s homes, prepare a nice afternoon for them and arrange a meeting with the children of our colleagues. We took advantage of this occasion when the worlds of these two groups met because children are very immediate in making relationships,“ says Zuzana Kalabová, ING Wholesale Banking Marketing and Communication Manager. „I believe this premiere event was another step which has moved us further in CSR.“
The children who came did not regret. In the hall no. 4 they encountered many games and tasks (puzzles, decorating of Christmas cookies, making paper chains, car racing etc.) which were rightly awarded by various presents. Surprisingly the children liked saying nursery rhymes and singing songs for St. Nicolas the most. St. Nicolas also asked Rolf-Jan Zweep, ING Bank CEO and Wholesale Banking General Manager to say a nursery rhyme in Czech. When the afternoon programme was over the animated film Wide Waves was showed. St. Nicolas Day Celebration was supported by ING Wholesale Banking Fund and Tereza Maxová Foundation.
